Mango Bubble Tea or Mango Boba Tea is a very cool and refreshing drink made with tea accompanied with starchy chewy tapioca balls and mango puree. Mango Bubble Tea is a delicious and refreshing beverage that combines the tropical flavor of mango along with refreshing tea and chewy texture of tapioca pearls, also known as boba. It’s a popular version of bubble tea, which had originated in Taiwan.

About Mango Bubble Tea

Mango Bubble Tea is nothing but a mango flavoured drink along with the chewy tapioca pearls and tea decoction.

Both my kids are fond of boba and mangoes so here is a variation of the classic bubble tea with mango flavour do try and let me know how you liked it.

Mango Bubble Tea Ingredients

  • Mangoes – Fresh ripe juicy woth less fibre mangoes are recommended.
  • Milk – Fresh milk boiled and cooled down is used here. You can replace it with non-dairy alternatives like almond milk or coconut milk.
  • Boba (Tapioca pearls) – Boba pearls or tapioca pearls are readily available online so you can easily buy them.
  • Tea powder – Black tea powder is highly recommended.
  • Sweetener – I have used white sugar. You can replace it with brown sugar or cane sugar.

Mango Bubble Tea

Total Time45 minutes

Ingredients

For boba

  • 1/2 cup boba pearls
  • 4 cups water + water as needed
  • icecubes as needed
  • 1 tbsp sugar

For tea decoction

  • 1 cup water
  • 1/2 heaped tsp tea powder

For mango mixture

  • 2 small mangoes
  • 2 tbsp sugar
  • 3/4 cup milk

Instructions

  • Boil 1 cup water in a sauce pan.

  • Let it boil for 5 mins.

  • Boil until you get a strong thick tea decoction. Brew the decoction light or strong as per your taste.

  • Switch off.

  • Strain and discard the remains.

  • In a large sauce boil 4 cups of water.

  • Give a quick stir to avoid sticking at the bottom.

  • The balls will start coming up.

  • Cook in low medium flame for 20 mins, stir inbetween to avoid sticking.

  • Boba is cooked now. It will be sticky strain the liquid.

  • Add it to ice cold water filled with icecubes mix it well.

  • Remove the boba.

  • To a mixer jar add 2 medium sized mangoes deskinned and finely chopped along with 2 tbsp sugar.

  • Add 3/4 cup milk(boiled, cooled).

  • Grind it to a fine puree.

  • It should be smooth and flowing if you want you can thin it by adding little more milk.

  • Now to a serving glass – first add little cooked boba.

  • Add 2 tbsp prepared tea decoction.

  • Add few icecubes.

  • Add prepared mango mixture.

  • Mix it well.

  • Mango Bubble Tea is ready!

  • Enjoy Bubble Tea chilled!

Notes

  • There are many ways to cook boba like in the pack it said to cook just 5-6 mins then set aside for an hour then use it. But this method of cooking it for 20 mins is perfect as we get chewy yet slightly soft boba.
  • Choose ripe juicy mangoes to make puree. Alternately you can use readymade mango puree too.
  • After assembling serve it immediately.

Mango Boba Recipe Step by Step

Making tea decoction

1.Boil 1 cup water in a sauce pan.
